Fantasy Bathroom Remodeling
If there is one thing I would change about my house, it’s the master bathroom. We’re nowhere near ready to undertake remodeling, but I’m starting to fantasize about the possibilities.
Here are the latest options for fantasy bathrooms:
Chromotherapy. I gather, from websites selling the stuff, bathing oneself in colored light can work wonders for relaxation. Seems kinda disco to me, but whatever works.

How about a heated towel rack? I have to admit, warm towels would be lovely in the winter. For $750, it totally fits the fantasy bathroom profile.

Heated floors are also a hot (ha!) new option. That seems a little weird to me. I don’t think that’s something I’d want, even in a fantasy bathroom.
We’re not the kind of couple that uses the bathroom in any capacity at the same time. Therefore, two sinks seems like a waste to me. I’d rather have more counter space and storage, though.

This is a lovely sink, but probably not one I would choose.
What I really want most is a huge bathtub, big enough for freakishly tall people to swim in. And a separate shower, maybe one that doesn’t require a shower curtain or one of those icky frosted doors.
This is close, but the tub’s much too small.
Now we’re talking. The windows would provide a lovely view of the trees behind our home.

This says it’s a steamroom/shower but it looks more like where we’d generate the clones.

I imagine that it would talk to you, and be programmable to your exact water temperature and pressure preferences. That could be cool, but it’s too futuristic looking for me.
This is probably my favorite bath — I love the use of space with the built in storage.

Oh well. Just dreaming for now.

Rethink the heated floors, they are great! Imagine it’s a cold winter morning… You step out of your open shower and across your warm stone floor…
I want a huge shower. I would give up a tub completely to have a roomy shower.

I guess so (about the heated floors). I think I agree with you on the shower, though. I would ditch the tub entirely and have a huge, open shower. Do you have heated floors?!

No, we don’t have heated floors although I would love them! When traveling we have stayed at hotels/B& Bs that have them. My choices would be: huge shower, heated floors and heated towel rack. =)
