Tammy and Elizabeth: sorry to say, yes, my office is usually pretty clean. I'll admit that prior to this photo, I did straighten up a bit; e.g., took out the trash, found another spot to store the paper packages sitting on the guest desk and filed some of the paperwork that had been sitting on my credenza and desk for awhile. But generally, I do try to keep it neat. I can't work if I'm distracted by mess. It's kind of like my kitchen -- I can't cook or bake until I've cleaned up, first.

Now, the house is another story. There's usually a dust bunny or two somewhere.

ahhhh I miss that much yard/green/the Southeast. Don't get me wrong, St. Louis is beautiful, but I can't smell dirt. That sounds weird, but its hard to explain...anyways, I can't figure out if i'd be extra productive with a beautiful view like that or if i'd spend all my time staring out the window.

I wish I had a window! And could call the office in my home my "home office." Oh the joys of working from home. What a lovely commute that would be...walking down the stairs...sigh. I'm totally jealous.

Looks great...but I want to know how many hours it took to clean it up for the photo. I'm not volunteering to show either of my office spaces :-)

Wow, it looks like you could go cross-country skiing right out the door (if you get enough snow). You really go above and beyond as a mentor; I'm thrilled to be your protégé! We'll have to get together soon for our social media strategy meeting. I'm loving the lime green cushion on "my" chair!

When it rains really hard, Bambi's family will run through the pond (which you cannot see for the trees in the photo, but which I can see clear as day from my chair). I see lots of squirrels, some come right up to the window. Also, there is a gorgeous blue heron that visits the pond and has just returned after being away for the summer. It's darn near impossible to get a photo of that bird, but I'm on a mission.
