I'd like to point out that your height came in handy with the milk crate. I don't think that would work as well for me, but I wish it would. I hate using the giant ladder since it's such a pain to move, and we don't have a step ladder which might be tall enough. Thanks for the reveal pictures!

I'm very impressed with your color choices ... as well as the attention to detail. The last time Kris and I painted a room, the red couch got a darling splattering of taupe paint, you know, just to make sure it all coordinated. Humph.

You ( and your crew) did a wonderful job! I love those two colors together. Now why am I in the mood for a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream? Just kidding. How are you at wallpaper stripping? I have a few projects coming up before the big graduation party.

It makes me think of a subdued packet of SweeTarts. And I mean that in a good way. Do you crave candy in there? (and has that changed, or was it always thus? :)

Jen, I think at some point adrenaline takes over. Also, I became a caffiene robot and just kept going until it was done AND THEN cleaned, did a few loads of laundry and made dinner. (My secret? I was in bed by 9pm)

I don't believe in taping. An angled brush and a steady hand work better for me.

Congratulations on completing your project. It seems like sometimes home offices are low on the list for improvements, but a great paint job can do wonders. My painting tip - alternate between painting high and low as a favor to your arms.

Very nice.

What I want to know is how did you have the time and energy to put it all back together so quickly and so nicely?

Your office looks great. I would add the step to sand after you spackle. Particularly in older homes where the wall board is messed up, sanding will make the finish look really nice.

And, I absolutely love the pocket doors. I wish we had them leading into where we'd like to put our office.
