Good God. I only have one--because it is just too damn scary to do again on purpose, therefore I may not be qualified to answer. They all terrify!

Whaaaaaaaat?! (said like Ellen Degeneres) That's news to me! I had to blink a few times to make sure I was seeing this right. I love how we learn such news today on another's blog. Congratulations Mel and John...and congrats to the 3 big girls!

Speaking from my own experience, it was physical trauma with the girl, psychological with the boy, followed by psychological with the girl (that part seems to be true). The difficulty in raising children knows no gender. That's what I think.

my working theory (also from the childless, for at least 5 more weeks....ask me your questions now, kids, 'cause I'm the greatest mother on earth til this baby falls out!) is as follows: with a boy, it's physical trauma, and comes earlier. With a girl, it's psychological trauma, and comes later.

Haha! I love that when Tom and I talk about starting a family, those pals of ours with kids smile like the Joker from Batman and cackle a bit as if to say, "Oh...you're gonna have a GREAT time...heh heh." So, from what I get from them- neither is easier, it's hard all the way whether it's pigtails or puppy dog tails! (:
