I like "Pie in the sky" or "Pie in your eye"? Nellies Bakery
Your pie looks great and I like Sweet Potato Pie it taste like pumpkin pie to me.
Don't make your Dad a Cherry Pie, he will tell you the story.
Try apple pie with the thickened cherry juice (the kind that comes in the can of cherries) it was wonderful.
Here is a new one for you to try. This was given to me by my mother-in-law many years ago and I still use it. Sounds weird but its VERY good.
Pie Crust
2 c flour-1 c Crisco - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/4c water - 11/2 tsp white vinger -1 egg. Mix the first 3 ingr. then in another bowl mix the last 3 together then mix them together.

The "Pied" Piper :-)
You can even use a quote from The Pied Piper of Hamelin (Robert Browning).

"Families by tens and dozens,
Brothers, sisters, husbands, wives --
Followed the ("pied") Piper for their lives.
From street to street (s)he piped, advancing,
And step for step, they followed, dancing"...
....for their pie!

Just got my copy of Pie and I'm off to BB&B to procure baking items, because that's just how feeble I am. I can't believe you started with a sweet potato pie. He explicitly says to start with a fruit pie!!! :) I don't know what I'm going to start with but I'm buying a cherry pitter just in case.

No ideas for the blog, but good luck with it. Although, maybe something from Waitress? Pie with a Heart in the Middle? Gonna Bake a Pie? Pie from Heaven Above?

The sweet potato pie looks great and is one of my favorites. I've pretty much never met a pie I didn't like, but I have to say the first pie in the book is rhubarb which pretty much put the kibosh on my idea to try every recipe in the book...

Well, I can't top "Life of Pi."

But I think it's my job as resident blog pervert to offer something inappropriate like:

"Lick the beater."

or...

"Crimp My Pie"

or...

"The Pied Papers."

or....

"Meringue Harrange"

or...

"The Rolling Pen"

or...

"Mama's Whiskers" (Think about it)

or

"A Little Slice of Heaven."

I'll drink more coffee and see if I can do a little better.
