I was going to write a pretty story like this about the unrequited desires of my adolescence, but since mine all end with me cleaning up both my own tears and masturbatory effluent (with the same tissue, no less ... hey, we were POOR) -- rather than the slightly more romantic sweet first-and-last kiss to symbolize what might have been and wasn't -- I've elected to keep those stories to myself ...

nicely written, tho' ... ;^)

That's a great story. It's funny how things like that stay with us. I wonder how he remembers you?

Beautiful! Though I never got attention from lifeguards growing up, I got a little vicarious thrill of returning to those old summer days through this post. Thank you.

What a great story! I'm guessing most people have something similar, I know I do - except without the zinc oxide and stuff.

I still think about mine, too, at least once a week. Sometimes more, and I am VERY happily married.

Great post.
