Last night, we lost Gramps. You may remember that in June we said goodbye to Grandma Ruby, his wife of sixty-seven and one half years. We know he missed her, and today we know they are together again.

Gramps was my grandfather-in-law and part of my life and my family for the last 21 years. I loved that guy and today I miss him terribly.

If you’re lucky enough to have grandparents, give them a call and tell them how much you love them. We never have them with us for long enough.

I’m so, so sorry! Yesterday we were told 24-72 hours for my grandmother. It’s so awful.

I’m sorry. This year must be so hard for you.

I always think it’s incredibly touching (but bittersweet) when people who have been married a very long time end up passing away right after each other. You’re right; he’s with his sweetie again.
