Life imitates art; art imitates life. When I need material for my shopping column, I usually consider what’s going on in my life. This week, it’s the departure of long time friend, Dave, who is moving from St. Louis to California.

Will we see him again? Maybe. His family is here (mom, dad and sister) so I imagine a holiday visit or two will be in order. I wouldn’t mind taking a trip (I’ve never been to California!) and seeing the sights.
